Chrono/time Manipulation Technology

Submitted by nanotech to the main page: What do we know about time? Each and every one of us is travelling through time at exactly 24 hours per day, and, when you take a plane trip, you travel through time zones. But, is it possible to manipulate time directly? If so, what could be done?

I believe it is possible to manipulate time directly. I just do not know how far we can do it. We can definitely manipulate time in a localized area, say at the atomic, microscopic level, and perhaps to the colloidal/mesoscopic level, to do time reversal on materials and systems of energy. If this was the furthest we can go, this alone would literally revolutionize life along the lines of nanotech control of matter. We would be able to reverse the flow of entropy in a container of hot or cold water, and thus produce useful work, ofcourse, energy to do this would have to come from an outside source, like the quantum vacuum state or something. We could also have "Time Reversal Material Repair Systems" that would cause cracks, breaks, and wear damage to be instantly reversed in various structures, thus they would be self-repairing. But could we go further, and do it at the macro level? Imagine a Time Reversal Box, you would sit inside of it and all age/time-flow related changes would be reversed. Your cellular structure would return to what it was at whatever former time period you want. Shed ten, twenty, thirty or more years off your body instantly.

Imagine, for example, a knife that has a micro time reversal unit in the handle. You are cutting something and the knife steel wears down. When activated, the time reversal unit causes the edge of the blade to literally be renewed and regenerated, as if brand new. The same can be done to almost any structure. Ofcourse, nanotech can be used to do this mechanically.
