    Where the real world stops
Posted on Sunday, August 04, 2002 @ 23:36:00 UTC by vlad

General "There are unquestionably many good, honest, hard working scientist who are appalled by some of the unsavory things going on in the name of science. But so many scientists seem to delight in attacking alternative science theory and its practitioners by branding the proceedings "pseudoscience", as if they were White Knights on Divine Mission to preserve the integrity of science. What integrity? It is time they dropped all their debunking and cleaned up the institution before we get the scientific version of the Inquisition." (Will Hart)

Shannan (priity1@attbi.com) writes: This is what I sent to them after hearing what they said about the book "the hunt for zero-point"

What is the point you ask? are you sure you are a scientist?', '
while some of your points are valid. I believe that you are no better educated to be able to throw around such pompus strutting of your rambings than those you condemn. And for that, your opinion is automatically biased. Second of all, regardless of what time frame you refer to there has always been life in the galaxy. we are proof of it. And the reason why we have yet to find much proof (only a little from mars) on other planets is because of people like you that are not different than those who insisted the world is flat in colombus's day. To outwardly critisize others for ideas, to merely proove hypothesis correct or not is the most de-evoled sense of selfishness I have had the misfortune to lay my eyes on.", '
This book was just about the HUNT for zero point and you disregard the possiblility as you are such a closed minded scientist that you have already limited your view and if you had lived back in the 1900's would have said the same thing about sonar or radar. the point is you are obviously a man of the previous century's science it is time for you to retire your old out-dated ideals to pasture as well as your sarcastic opinion towards things that are obviously not your realm as it isn't something that seems to interest you. If it had, you would be critical yet encouraging as the science community is a beautiful world of wonder that the only reason why half of our technologies exsist is from people constantly questioning what is around them. your analysis is not only as outdated as your mindset but your account of the book was sadly misunderstood. like a scientist from the 1900's reading a book on quantum physics and giving a review on something they don't understand. you are rude sir. and I think you should be a little more encouraging towards those who may not have degrees but actually have the nerve to stand up and say they want to help by getting it out in the public eye so it gets the attention that others want it to have. EVEN IF IT COMES TO FINDING OUT IT WON'T WORK, AT LEAST WITH PUBLIC ATTENTION WE KNOW FOR SURE FROM ALL APPROACHES!
This is my review of your review. how did it feel?
