Few scientists would dispute the fact that climate is changing on a planetarian scale, and there are good reasons to believe that some of the changing features are not part of a natural variation, but consequences of man-made pollution. What every good scientist will dispute, however, is whether this observed and ongoing change is, as the promoters of the 'global warming' myth dogmatically assert, an upward change in the atmosphere's mean global temperature - and whether the mechanism responsible for it is CO2 emission from fossil fuel combustion. Present-day climatology is vulnerable to these kinds of faddist dogmas - pushed forward as part of a political and media-driven agenda - because it lacks a functional, comprehensive, systematic and interconnected understanding of the nonlinear system formed by the atmosphere, the oceans, the land mass and the biosphere, and their interaction with solar radiation. Lets dispute some minor facts about global warming while the Gulf Stream subsides, the Arctic ice disappears, and the tropics are hammered with record numbers of super hurricanes.

Growing a forest might sound like a good idea to combat global warming, since trees draw carbon dioxide from the air and release cool water from their leaves. But they also absorb sunlight, warming the air in the process. According to a new study from the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, planting forests at certain latitudes could make the Earth warmer.

Look at the graph near the end of this article comparing historical CO2 levels with global average temperature. Not only is there very little correlation, but current CO2 levels are near the lowest in the entire history of the planet.

Just as the efforts to deflect a portion of it by tracking the sun across the sky from sun up to sun down with aerial spraying efforts, a multi billion dollar worldwide effort that will ultimately prove futile and shown to have caused more harm than good....by the dramatic exhibition of what can occur when unknown unknowns synergetically intersect. |

This is a website about getting rid of our addiction to the black
crack, right? Let them regulate emissions. Might give the US auto
makers a good swift kick in the hiney to produce non polluting cars.

(User Info | Send a Message) | Have you heard about the Canadian debate over Arctic sovereignty?
The northern ice caps have melted to the point of it being feasible to ship goods across the north pole to russia and europe. Canada is claiming sovereignty over the territory. The EU/US is screaming international waters.
Global warming is a reality. What caused it is irrelevant. How do we compensate for global climate change is the only question left. The fact is if every CO2 producing device were cut off RIGHT NOW, we probably would still be screwed given that it takes most vapors 20 years to reach the ozone layer, and that's IF our pollution is the primary cause of global warming. If this is a cyclical phenomena, which is what most evidence points to (on a strictly apolitical and scientific basis) it doesn't matter because so little is truly known about the way the earth works people will make political/financial moves to further their cause and they will get away with it.
Frankly I don't care how the climate got screwed up. I just know that it is. And it's happening faster than scientists thought it would. Last year the earth's temperature warmed an entire degree.
A book I suggest you read in addition to this material is State of Fear by Michael Crichton. Yes this book is purely fictional, but the science in it was thoroughly researched.
