"Advances are made by answering questions. Discoveries are made by questioning answers." - Bernard Haisch
After three decades as a professional scientist and a lifetime as a seeker, I have arrived at a personal worldview that offers a satisfying and hopeful explanation of reality -- a worldview that is not only possible, rational, and compatible with modern science, but compelling and capable of resolving some of the most intransigent moral issues facing us today. It embodies a way out of our global dilemma and so I offer it for your consideration.
Let me make it clear that I don't claim to speak directly to God. I am too conditioned as a scientist for that. In fact, if God ever calls, my line will probably be busy...but he might try my email. Precisely because I am a professional scientist, this book represents a gamble for me.
I am gambling that there is a significant audience interested in a kind of rational spirituality that can nudge the world in a more tolerant and uplifting direction. I am gambling that, somewhere between the hardcore reductionists who explain all things as the sum of their parts and greet every suggestion of spirituality with a sneer, and the unquestioning faithful who receive their beliefs full-blown from prophets and preachers, there is a group of philosophical centrists -- well-intentioned, open-minded, skeptical, but free spirits eager to investigate their own nature. I am gambling that these inquiring spirits, among whom I count myself, will join me as I explore the handiwork of an extremely ingenious God who, nevertheless, can only experience material reality by living in and through us and all beings everywhere.... from The God Theory: Universes, Zero-Point Fields and What's Behind It All. ------
Jack Sarfatti writes: "The second problem is that none of the other universes can ever be observed, not even in principle, since trying to measure across universes with different fundamental laws would be like using a microphone to observe the moon or using a telescope to record a rock band. So yet a second article of faith is required of the modern scientist: the existence of an infinite number of unseen universes."
This is one thing I think is wrong with the standard theory. I address this in my archive paper http://arxiv.org/abs/gr-qc/0602022
With regard to Bernie's ZPE theory, it is "simpler than is possible" - Einstein.
1. Bernie & Hal only address EM ZPF. They never consider virtual e+- e- vacuum polarization. Ironically there is no "Polarized Vacuum" in Hal's other PV model of gravity that fundamentally violates the local equivalence principle and is not generally covariant.
2. You do not need random EM ZPE to explain the origin of inertia of leptons and quarks. The origin of inertia is a vacuum ODLRO coherence effect (Higgs field) completely absent in Bernie's technical papers.
I do agree with Bernie on the cosmic intelligence, but I have a theory for it - more details than Bernie provides. Signal nonlocality is the key here and I have never seen Bernie mention it.

The Aether was written out of mainstream physics because... (Score: 1) by Kadamose on Thursday, May 18, 2006 @ 21:02:42 UTC (User Info | Send a Message) | Ultimately, Zero Point Energy will prove that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself, subjectively.
With this knowledge and foresight in hand, it would literally destroy all religions and governments overnight. It was the Illuminati elite who created religion and mainstream science to begin with, and since they control most of the world's governments, having people know the true nature of the universe was something that could not be allowed to happen, thus, before Maxwell or anyone else could discover the true meaning of the Aether, they came up with a plan which would get rid of the Aether entirely...and, thus, the Einstein model of the universe was introduced.

His web site is one of the few that deals with the subject in a factual manner without all the otherwise crazy notions that accompany it in other sites.
I would recommend that anyone that is seriously interested in the subject of the ZPE to visit his site and read all the papers that he has presented. |
