Your tax deductible contributions or loans can help span a temporary gap.
Aesop Institute has been asked to apply for three very large grants, which are presently pending. The Institute, founded in 1973, is a non-profit, 501C3 tax exempt organization. A primary goal from its inception has been to find alternatives to fossil and uranium fuels. BridgeWalk, a path to The Brooklyn Project, a proposed Institute program, is described in a brief outline on the MPI, website: www.magneticpowerinc.com.
Through its commercial affiliate, Magnetic Power Inc., (MPI), and MPI’s subsidiary, Room Temperature Superconductors Inc., the Institute has been fostering research and development of fuel-free energy generation and transmission alternatives. A total of more than $7.6 million has been received from Angel investors for these companies. Both firms have multi-million dollar funding transactions pending. However, there is a gap which must be bridged before these funds are received.
Individuals interested in assisting MPI or RTS often cannot invest in either company for various reasons. Those who might like to help move this work forward until the transactions in process begin to provide adequate capital, are welcome to make tax deductible contributions. Alternatively, they can make one year loans to Aesop Institute. These can earn 10% interest.
Human life may end in a few decades
Mankind is presently facing the biggest challenge that it has ever confronted: the possible extinction of all human life on earth by 2050, due to the runaway melting of the Arctic permafrost due to Global Warming, an as yet little known global emergency. As a result, a crash program needs to speed revolutionary, carbon free, new technology to market. Some of the systems under development by MPI can substitute for car engines. Others will scale to a megawatt, or more. Capable manufacturers must be enlisted in this effort everywhere on the planet. The massive production of arms achieved during World War II demonstrated that industry can respond to emergencies in ways hardly imagined prior to the crisis. This worldwide manufacturing capability exists. It must be utilized rapidly and to the fullest extent practical. MPI plans to license breakthrough new energy technology very widely. Every hour of every day counts. The time for urgent action is now. Survival demands that we open our minds to unprecedented possibilities and act, intelligently, but without delay.
In addition to several million dollars of pending funds intended to directly support the work of Magnetic Power Inc., and its subsidiary, Room Temperature Superconductors Inc., additional funds are anticipated to become the basis of a Program Related Investment portfolio, supporting funding, for the most part, of other undercapitalized companies developing promising out-of-the-box energy generation technology.
Aesop Institute will also use income earned by the portfolio to support educational programs by means of appropriate grants. This will accelerate understanding of breakthrough new science and technology. This program will include the internet, video productions, etc. It will also include the development of curriculum materials for schools, colleges and universities.
MPI’s Mission
MPI’s mission is to develop and license technology that will produce clean, abundant, and inexpensive electricity. The company is developing technology it calls Magnetic Power ModulesTM. Based upon breakthrough discoveries in MPI’s labs, Magnetic Power Modules are being designed that operate continuously, without fuel, extracting electricity by converting abundant, renewable, Virtual Photon Flux (VPF), an energy source that exists everywhere in the universe. The process will create no pollution. The cost of electricity is estimated to be less than any competing form of power generation. Magnetic Power Modules will be scaled to a wide range of applications from the relatively small power needs of consumer devices up through the massive needs of power generation plants. Prototypes are currently being built that the Company expects will soon receive external validation. The first in a substantial series of planned patent applications was filed in January, 2005. A plug-in hybrid car may be modified, to become a prototype powered by VPF for local driving, during 2007.
Market and Marketing
The commercial potential of Magnetic Power Modules is huge, with applications throughout the roughly $2 trillion worldwide market for energy. The Company forecasts rapidly growing revenues beginning before the close of this year. Positive impacts on global social, economic, and environmental conditions are anticipated.
After establishing the commercial viability of Magnetic Power Modules in proprietary labs operated by the Company, MPI will implement a global partnering, patenting and licensing strategy – analogous to Genentech in the biotech industry – to catalyze worldwide adoption of the technology. Widespread use of MPI technology is likely to occur on an urgent basis in order to avoid catastrophic loss of human life due to melting permafrost.
MPI has begun discussing licenses with companies interested in manufacturing, and/or utilizing, products it has under development. A number of new patent applications are planned in the next 36 months. To meet the permafrost melt emergency, the Research and Development needs to be put on a 24/7 basis with four complete teams of engineers and technicians on each project. Demonstration Devices are designed to begin to enter the market later this year. These will make it difficult for scientists and skeptics to maintain that such technology is impossible.
Technology
Conventional wisdom suggests we will be dependent on oil, gas, coal and nuclear power for the foreseeable future. However, a far more vital family of energy conversion processes has begun to emerge, which we refer to as Virtual Photon Flux (VPF) energy conversion. It promises cost competitive electric power and fuel-free vehicle propulsion. VPF technology consumes no fuel and produces no pollution. Scientists have long been aware the earth is immersed in an extremely dense sea of energy that permeates every nook and cranny of the universe. For many years, only visionaries realized that throughout space there is energy. Now, a growing number of scientists and engineers consider it possible to tap energy from space for practical use. MPI engineers have determined that our experiments lead directly to practical, cost-effective, technology. We have concluded that our generators tap a limitless source of energy. This proprietary technology extracts VPF from the interaction of magnetic fields, a basic concept that has fascinated inventors, engineers and scientists for many years.
Hans Coler, a German inventor supported by Hitler’s Navy, reportedly built a working 6 Kilowatt, solid-state, magnetic "space energy receiver”. His laboratory was destroyed by an Allied bomb during WWII. At the time, there was no comprehension as to the source of the energy. A scientist at one of the U.S. National Laboratories has unofficially begun reconstruction of the Coler generator. MPI has provided an analysis of the Coler device that may assist in this and similar efforts. VPF conversion devices have been prototyped in laboratories throughout the world. MPI has a team of outstanding engineers developing pre-commercial generators leading to the development of Demonstration Devices and toys to illustrate the feasibility of practical designs. One kilowatt Modules aimed at the market for homes and portable generators could be ready for production during 2007. . Modules can be combined for greater power output, in a manner analogous to solar cells. Compact automotive power systems, as well as megawatt modules and small battery replacements, powering laptop computers, will follow.
A Brief History
Aesop Institute, a non-profit, 501C3 organization, was founded in 1973 to search for clean, commercially viable sources of energy and explore new ideas in economics. The first commercial affiliate was SunWind Ltd., which created a freeway capable wind-electric hybrid vehicle, the Windmobile, featured as the cover story for Popular Science in November, 1976. SunWind suspended operations in 1983. (It may be revived by MPI as a future subsidiary). The following year, a promising magnetic system came to our attention. MPI was founded as the second commercial affiliate of the Institute, and was incorporated in 1987. MPI engineers and scientists have closely scrutinized many technologies and devices. From the hundreds examined in this rigorous process, two have become core MPI technologies: Magnetic Power Modules™, described above as well as on the website, and superconducting polymers the Company calls Ultraconductors™, a product now being developed in the MPI subsidiary company RTS. Ultraconductors are the commercial equivalent of a room temperature superconductor. They result from more than twenty years of published, peer reviewed, scientific research, including thirteen years of development. Scientific American has said the development of such a superconductor would “surely initiate a second industrial revolution.” Potential markets are estimated in multiple billions of dollars. MPI and RTS have completed four Small Business Innovation Research contracts in connection with Ultraconductors. These remarkable materials have been independently reproduced and tested. More information about RTS can be found on the website: www.ultraconductors.com. MPI and RTS technologies are highly synergistic.
Locations
MPI and RTS share offices in Sebastopol, California, 50 miles North of San Francisco. RTS has a laboratory in Sebastopol. MPI has a laboratory developing solid-state Magnetic Power Modules in Washington State. It also has a contract laboratory in Florida, which works exclusively with MPI and is primarily focused on rotary Magnetic Power Modules. Another, small laboratory facility is planned elsewhere in Washington. Other small labs are located in the UK, where expansion is planned, and in Mexico. When adequately funded, Aesop Institute is expected to be headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
Aesop Management
Mark Goldes, who founded the Institute, began full-time work to uncover practical alternatives to fossil and uranium fuels in 1973. He earlier served as Chairman and CEO of The Aesop Company, a specialized financial consulting firm, and later founded SunWind Ltd., the renewable energy company mentioned above. Mr. Goldes is Chairman and CEO of Magnetic Power Inc., and is also Chairman and CEO of Room Temperature Superconductors Inc., MPI’s subsidiary. Aesop Institute was incorporated in 1975 to find practical alternatives in energy and economics. An exceptionally well qualified new Executive Director has been selected. He will guide the work of the Institute when it relocates to Portland.
