POINT ROBERTS, Wash., Delta B.C., July 16, 2008 - InvestorIdeas.com, one of the first online investor resources providing in-depth information on renewable energy, greentech and water, is pleased to provide interested investors a recent audio interview with Dan Reicher, the Director for Climate Change and Energy Initiatives at Google.org.

Investorideas.com Green Investor Audio Series

Well-known financial columnist Michael Brush continues his renewable energy audio series for Renewableenergystocks.com with a recent interview with Dan Reicher, the Director for Climate Change and Energy Initiatives at Google.org, discussing Google’s investment in renewable energy and their vision of creating a green future.

Mr. Reicher comments on two key initiatives; renewable electricity and plug-in vehicles as part of their vision to get to a day (sooner vs. later) when millions of vehicles are plugging into a greener grid.

He comments, “We will invest tens of millions in 2008 and hundreds of millions in companies and projects over the next number of years. We expect to do good and do well. We function like a VC firm and expect to make a profit as well as make an impact.”

He goes on to say, ” I am optimistic that twenty or thirty years from now instead of renewable electricity, solar, wind, geothermal being 2 or 3% of US electricity it is 20-30 or 40% of US electricity and at the same time a significant percentage of our vehicles will be fueled from renewable electricity and plugging into a greener grid. As a result of that, we will have reduced our dependence on oil, reduced our impact on the global climate and have done great things for our economy.”

For the past 3 decades, investors have been offered a series of speculative bubbles instead of opportunities that result in real growth.

The stock market bubble of the 80's, the dot com bubbles of the 90's and the real estate bubble of the 2000's were all overhyped ploys that in the long run resulted in negative real growth as compared to inflation.

The biggest danger investors face again is a "Green Bubble" of companies without sufficent capital to make a dent in a very real problem......

.......or companies that are merely scams trying to work up a cash flow that can be scimmed by management costs.
Situations where startup and administration costs swallow up cash to actually get a project going are very real threats. Add on top of that the lax administration of financial markets and one has a perfect situation for an overall crash, where risk managers know better that to go out on a limb.

Just reading this websites' disclaimer ought to wake people up to the risks involved in these types of ventures.

Will  "Green" just become another brand? Another marketing ploy? It is fast becoming that everytime a stockbroker calls a client trying to sell the idea of green, "Have I got a deal for you!"
