The discovery confirms the existence of dark energy (?)
Posted on Monday, August 25, 2008 @ 22:19:45 UTC by vlad

Science XMM-Newton's massive discovery

(PhysOrg.com) -- ESA's orbiting X-ray observatory XMM-Newton has discovered the most massive cluster of galaxies seen in the distant Universe until now. The galaxy cluster is so big that there can only be a handful of them at that distance, making this a rare catch indeed. The discovery confirms the existence of dark energy.

...“Such massive galaxy clusters are thought to be rare objects in the distant Universe. They can be used to test cosmological theories,” says Lamer. Indeed, the very presence of this cluster confirms the existence of a mysterious component of the Universe called dark energy.

No one knows what dark energy is, but it is causing the expansion of the Universe to accelerate. This hampers the growth of massive galaxy clusters in more recent times, indicating that they must have formed earlier in the Universe. “The existence of the cluster can only be explained with dark energy,” says Lamer....

I notice on the linked page at physorg.com a number of comments about the dubiousness of the dark energy claim. There are quite a few groups which will dispute the existence of dark energy and any number of the concepts in use in modern physics, usually, on the basis of an incorrect model. They, each group, will propose an alternative model claimed to do better. Perhaps, they can do better. I often think so. And this is not to mention the idea that the whole of establishment science has grown corrupt beyond redemption from enforced goup think. The two actually go together: Bad science invites critics.

I ramble. Still, the point would seem to be,putting aside the details: How to proceed when it becomes automatic to suspect any writer on a scientific question to have a suspect agenda?

There is a theory by dr. R.M. Santilli  about the gravity behaviour of anti-matter: matter and anti-matter repel.  So in case there are as much matter galaxies as anti-matter galaxies, then on the very large scale there must be a repelling force.   (anti-matter attracts other anti-matter, forming anti-matter galaxies).

Usually scientists believe there is much less anti matter than matter, related to the evolution of the cosmos "just after the big bang". This is only a theory, not based on direct evidence/observations.  The "dark energy" discovery can be understood as direct evidence of anti-matter galaxies as common as matter galaxies.

Actually, standard physics does not describe the gravity force of anti-matter with respect to matter or other anti-matter, "since there are no large chunks of anti-matter". One has to understand the physics of prof.dr. Ruggero Santilli (who discovered new mathematical operators leading to very interesting generalisations of the known physics laws. For instance the Santilli theory of gravity is the ISO lifting (generalisation) of special relativity (SR) as created by Poincare, Lorentz, Minkovski and others (not to mention plagiarist Einstein).  The gravity of anti-matter is described by Santilli as the ISODUAL lifting (generalisation) of physics laws.

Don't say that "nobody knows what dark energy is".
