James Stafford (OilPrice.com) writes: Dear Editor,
I wanted to get in touch as we were fortunate enough to interview the media shy Andrea Rossi, creator of the E-Cat this week and I thought you and your readers may be interested in hearing what he had to say.
Mr. Rossi appears to have produced the first working "cold" fusion device, or low energy nuclear reaction (LENR), with his Energy Catalyser (E-Cat) machine. The E-Cat machine could provide almost limitless, clean, cheap energy and could prove to be one of the greatest inventions of all time.
You can read the full interview at:
http://oilprice.com/Interviews/The-Limitless-Potential-of-the-E-Cat-An-Interview-with-Andrea-Rossi.html
It's quite a long interview as Mr Rossi answered over 40 questions.
Some of the
questions we asked Mr. Rossi take a look at:
• Why it took so
long for him to go public with his discovery. • How the E-Cat will produce
energy costing $10/megawatt hour. • When he will release more detailed
information on the E-Cat. • Why he believes international media coverage of
the E-Cat has been so muted. • His feelings towards critics and the
scientific community. • His manufacturing and distribution goals. • How
the E-cat will help reduce mankind's dependency on fossil fuels. • + Many
more details on the e-cat, LENR and Rossi himself.
The full interview is not available for publication - but
we are happy for you to use excerpts with a link back to the source.

I hope you find the interview interesting.
Best Regards,
James Stafford

Rossi's Steam Trick: Lewan Knew
[click.icptrack.com]
Mats Lewan, the technology
journalist with Ny Teknik who was by far the biggest promoter of Andrea Rossi
and his Energy Catalyzer, knew that the water Rossi fed into the E-Cat didn't
produce the extraordinary amount of steam it should have if Rossi's claim was
valid. Lewan also had a good idea about where the rest of the water went. He
reported neither of these concerns to his readers.

European
Financial Editor Says No to Energy Catalyzer
[click.icptrack.com]
Tuur Demeester editor of
Macrotrends, a financial newsletter in Belgium and the Netherlands had
initially thought Rossi's Energy Catalzyer might just be the thing for the
energy sector. Then he looked closer.
"It hurt, because I had to let go
of a dream I'd fallen in love with. I had to admit that I had not found the
extraordinary evidence that is required to back up the extraordinary claims put
forward by Rossi and his team. Quite the contrary: There are many things I've
discovered that seem to suggest the E-Cat is, in reality, a fraudulent
scheme."

March 19, 2012 Miley: Eight Watts for 100 Seconds, Not 300 Watts Continuous
[click.icptrack.com]
George Miley, a pioneer in the
low-energy nuclear reactions field and an emeritus professor at the University
of Illinois, made an extraordinary claim of excess heat on Oct. 20, 2011, at the
World Green Energy Symposium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
"At the
moment, we can run continuously at levels of a few hundred
watts."
New Energy Times spoke with Miley in December and
learned that his data showed a peak of eight Watts of excess heat over a period
of 100 seconds. Apparently Miley
misspoke. March 18, 2012
Still Images from Analysis of Ny Teknik Video
[click.icptrack.com]
Article shows images from the
video that Mats Lewan, a journalist with Ny Teknik, shot on April 28, 2011, when
Andrea Rossi was demonstrating his Energy Catalyzer invention for Lewan. The
demo took place in two rooms.
The first room contained the E-Cat and the
power buttons that controlled electrical energy input to the E-Cat. No steam
came directly out of the E-Cat. Instead, it went into a black hose, which fed
into the adjacent room. The second room contained the end of the hose, the
bucket and the drain hole in the wall where Rossi dumped the "steam." The rooms
were connected through an open doorway, but the end of the hose, the bucket and
the drain hole were not visible from the first room, where the E-Cat and the
input power buttons were located.

Patent Attorney Offers Minor Corrections to Report #5
[click.icptrack.com]
On March 7, 2012, we published,
"Report #5: Rossi’s Profitable Career in Science" and discussed many aspects of
Energy Catalyzer inventor Andrea Rossi's patent applications.
A patent
attorney who is a New Energy Times reader was kind enough to review our article
after it published and provide notes on some minor corrections. His notes, on
their own, also provide an expert tutorial on these patent issues.
We
appended his notes to the bottom of the original article.

Florida Bureau: Rossi Has No Factory, No Nuclear Reactions
[click.icptrack.com]
Andrea Rossi, the inventor of the
Energy Catalyzer, told an inspector from the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control
that he has no factory in the United States and that no nuclear reactions occur
in his devices.
Rossi’s statements contradict nearly everything he has
said in the last year about his claims of a factory and his development of a
low-energy nuclear reaction device.

Rossi's Financial and Environmental Criminal History
[click.icptrack.com]
As New Energy Times brings this
phase of its reporting on Andrea Rossis Energy Catalyzer to a close, it is an
appropriate time to reflect on one of Rossi’s previous technology
adventures.
In the 1970s and '80s, Rossi claimed to have invented a
process and device which he called the Petroldragon, to convert household and
industrial waste, such as old tires and hospital waste, into oil.
