The Aethereal Nature of Electric Charge
Posted on Sunday, December 23, 2012 @ 15:14:41 EST by vlad

Science FDT writes: People can identify with the concept of an elementary particle without knowing what it looks like up close. It is sufficient to know that it moves relative to other particles, and that the mutual acceleration is governed by certain established force laws. Few feel the need to enquire into the meaning of empty space or what a particle is actually made of. Is it spherical? Is it made of hard stuff? Is it shiny? Modern particle physics disregards these questions. If however we reverse the situation and argue that particles are sinks and sources in an all pervading aethereal medium which is dynamic, compressible, and stretchable, the focus then shifts to the question of what the aether itself is made of. Naturally we won't be able to answer that question any more than we can answer the question of what particles are made of in a world without aether. But we can demonstrate that such an aethereal approach to matter can be used to explain the electromagnetic field.

Once we can accept the concept of aether vortices without having to insist upon first knowing what the aether itself is made of, then the mystery of the electromagnetic field will unfold before our eyes.

Fine paper by F.D. Tombe, well done!

Kelvin's aether vortex idea comes from Maxwell's  B = curl A, while trying to visualize this definition of magnetic field.
But is this correct, does the vacuum only contains vortices?
Tesla described an entirely different, longitudinal wave motion of aether, and this is not a vortex 'action', but this wave is like a sound wave.

If the aether consists of negative and positive charges (not necessarily virtual electrons/positrons but particles with much smaller masses, like neutrinos),  then gravity is described by density variations of the aether.  Density variation of an electrical polarizable aether simply means varation in epsilon_0  and  mu_0  of the vacuum medium,  and this explains the fact that light is bend by a gravity field (it is simply deflection)  and also slightly varies in speed (which was proven beyond a shadow of doubt by Dayton Miller, one of America's greatest physicists in history).

The Maxwellian displacement current (noted as  epsilon_0 mu_0  d(E)/dt )
can be understood very simply, as the polarization current of the charged aether particles.

Einstein claimed that GR  enabled him to find a relation between electricity and gravity, but this was a false claim.  Einstein stole GR from Hilbert, but much worse: he swept under the carpet the experimental proof of Dayton Miller that GR is an incorrect theory.  The fact that light speed varies with the gravity field strength, tells us that vacuum is a medium much like material media like water or air. Vacuum has variable electrical polarizabllity, so it must contain charged particles and the density of these particles can vary.

Since gravity is equivalent with aether density gradient, one can expect a distortion of the Coulomb field of any charged particle in a gravity field.
It is exactly this distortion of the Coulomb field around a particle that gives rise to an acceleration of the particle (charged particles accelerate in a gravity field).

Tesla's longitudinal electric field waves can also be explained by an aether plasma model:  it is an electrical polarization wave such that the aether is no longer electrically neutral, which requires high voltages and high frequency conditions.

Gravity is a weak negative electric charge?  Why isn't gravity a weak positive electric charge?  How does one explain the bending of electromagnetic waves by gravity in terms of Tombe's gravity model?  The same question when considering Dayton Miller's light speed measurements....

Tombe should answer these questions in much detail.  Meanwhile,  I stick to the aether density gradient model,  considering aether a neutral mix of positive and negative charged particles. The idea of a non-constant  epsilon_0 and mu_0  has been explored as well by Puthoff and Ibison  since they published an alternative gravity theory based on a polarizible vacuum. Also Petkov described gravity as an electrodynamic effect, as a consequence of an anisotropic speed of light.  All this is related to aether density variations.

The speed of sound in the atmosphere depends on the temperature and density of the atmosphere. Sound and light waves can be deflected by layers of cold and hot air.
