re. "Forums are no place for alternative opinions"
These "Forums", 'deadend postings' provide 'an outlet'
for those of us 'lacking social skills' sufficient to interact
within a 'network' of socially acceptable citizens!
"WE (contributers to these postings) GIVE A DAMN !;
BUT WHO CARES? ?
Alternative Energy Sources
Personally, I think Nuclear Power is an atrociously expensive
water heater; but those who favor 'nuclear power', as a source
of 'hot water' hold the keys to the 'executive washroom'!
To them: "So what if 'background radiation' continues to rise!
"Blame it on 'SunSpots'!
"And leave a lot of money to your Grandchildren,
that they may suffer their last days in dignity"
re. All America's fault:
Historically, America was the first to send aid to any people
who were victims of various natural catastrophies . . .
NO STRINGS ATTACHED ! ! !
Gradually, (frog in water which continues to increase in temperature until the 'frog' is unable to escape, and is 'cooked')
'Pirates' have taken over our Government:
Those inside the 'Beltway' began to believe their own press releases.
Lobbyists told them how wonderful they were, and that they
"the peoples' servants", deserved the 'monies' bestowed upon them by the lobbyists.
The people were given tar and flypaper, (in the form of endless regulation/taxation) to occupy their time and efforts:
"An idle mind is the Devil's workshop.
"Keep them busy, don't give them time to think!
"If both parents work, the family will deteriorate to oblivion, but our tax receipts will be COLASSAL ! ! !"
"And, borrowing a page from the Soviets, we can then educate their 'orphans' to our whim !
Professional 'Grant Writers', what a scam! But they get the Bucks
and that's what counts!
Taking a 'clue' from those 'inside the Beltway':
Folks in/on Wall Street, assumed they could 'short-circuit' the system
and 'bleed-off' wealth to finance their 'Blow Parties', after all it is a high
pressure environment, and they deserve a month or two in Tahiti.
In effect, America just forgot how to lead:
"Wealth feeds people, Poverty doesn't!" . . . Mother Theresa may have
taken an 'Oath of Poverty', but her programs depended on the largesse
of others who had 'created wealth' in excess of their needs.
Stolen wealth, decreases wealth, witness Mexico, where (mordida es
muerte), and Zimbabwe (Mugabe, president for life, has done a wonderful job
of Wealth Re-distribution) a 'Net Food Exporter when Whites actually farmed and made a profit from their excess Produce, is now starving and saddled with an inflation rate in excess of 1000%. I expect Mugabe is eating well!
Add the numbers of 'Puppet Rulers' deigned proper by our and other governments on the planet!
'Oil-related disaster:
Contrast those 'thieves of wealth' to India and China, where decisions
'freeing' their markets/citizens has rapidly generated enormous wealth.
Bicycles are rapidly displaced by automobiles, when income permits.
You, illumin*****y, may choose to ride a bicycle; however,
It is NOT your perogative to deny the Chinese or citizens of India the right own and/or operate a 'motorized conveyance'!
Any Oil-related disaster IS the result of the intolerance of
Capitalists too stupid or too ignorant to allow any breakthroughs
without
themselves (Capitalists) owning 'tomorrow's energy'! (Shrinking Wealth!)
Posting to these 'Deadend' Forums is a release for those of us
who ?think? we see the writing-on-the-wall, but are powerless
to effect change, and create new wealth AND a Healthy Planet!

You state: "Forums are no place for alternative opinions ...".
Either your definition of a forum, or mine, is completely in error.
My understanding of a forum is that it is a place to exchange opinions. Differing opinions are by definition "alternative opinions." Thus, by definition forums are exactly the proper place for "alternative opinions.
Your alternative opinion about the use of forums is noted. My opinion is that it's simply fuzzy thinking ... but then, that's only my opinion.
