Harwood argues the opposite end of this non-sequitur, that Evans's depression indicates that he's not worth reading. It's not newsworthy when a mathematician or a physicist struggles with mental illness. (It's when they stop struggling that the trouble starts.) That Evans had a bout of depression is no more indication that he's being treated unfairly by Rodrigues, Sarfetti, Park (Park?), et al than it is evidence that his ideas are wrong.

What they know is what Time magazine, Bob Park and Rodrigues (and many other close minded ultra conservationists idea killers) say about something or somebody. They name you a “crackpot” and your credibility evaporates, and the doors to “mainstream” journals/conferences etc. shut closed. The damage is done despite your best science you may propose/promote.

Wrong. Check out the publications of Arkadiusz Jadczyk. Ark is an unconventional thinker even by the standards of this board. But he's publishing in first rate journals. Why's that? Good papers maybe?

And please stop calling everyone who disagrees with you close minded idea killers. People will get the idea that you have no sense of irony.
