As the world’s population grows, indeed the already unlimited demand for electricity does to. The substantial amount of hydro produced a year is still not enough; Additional electric power will have to be purchased from outside the provinces or states during climax periods and at premium power rates, running the menace of incurring a deficit and increasing ones Hydro debt. Several businesses in various sectors may need to consider either generating their own power or relocating into geographic locations where electric power prices are more competitive and the power supply more reliable.
