Japan to Host World Hydrogen Conference

Tokyo, March 22 (Jiji Press)--Japan will host the 15th World Hydrogen Energy Conference June 28-July 1 for promoting the use of hydrogen as a new energy source and the full-fledged commercialization of vehicles running on hydrogen-based fuel cells, it was learned Monday.

The conference, to he held at the Pacifico Yokohama convention center on the bay front of Yokohama, southwest of Tokyo, is likely to bring together about 1,200 people from 30 countries, according to its organizers, the Hydrogen Energy Systems Society of Japan and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization.
