    I thought Penn & Teller showed how their tricks were done!

    This (scams and mistakes) is of course why people in "science" call for replication of results, by independent researchers. But even that will not stop some folk being unwilling to accept a new result that sits outside their comfort zone.

    Each of us may have a different threshold that must be crossed before we are convinced. And we may even be fooled after that...

    In terms of ZPE I do not think we have to worry about this kind of thing. No matter what anyone claims, there are a series of pre-set hoops that it will eventually have to jump through. The end result is a lot more significant than a sleight of hand trick and should be harder to fake.

    And it's up to us - the wide range of people who frequent this and related sites - to set those hoops up, if we see claims slipping through and not being tested.

    Once we get the chance. Can't wait!
