    Second law needs complementary specification.
Posted on Friday, February 24, 2006 @ 07:22:28 UTC by vlad

    Science Anonymous writes:
I think, second law of thermodynamics needs complementary explanation and specification. Most likely, it has statistical character, as symmetry in universe.

Recently I have offered simple model of "a perpetual motion machine of the second kind" in scientific journal.

The revolving object, surface of which is clothed by "nap" (short linear molecules) having pronounced inclination (statistically) locally in one direction and round the object revolution axis.

    Spassky Stanislav (Vsevolodovich),
    Moscow, see in I-net.

This is cool: seems to be the MAXWELL'S DEMON engine.  Can we outsmart entropy?  These Russians think so and are serious.  ALBERSAWA

One can ask, how can any favored momentum be allowed through without the opposite components from the random source side being absorbed by the membrane, giving counter-torque?

Thanks for this Vlad. Dogpile search terms: ( Spassky Stanislav (Vsevolodovich), Moscow, see in I-net.) returned: http://vsevolodovich.narod.ru/gas_thermal_motion_engine_e.htm Mssr. Stanislav apologizes for his command of English, which is vastly superior to my command of 'Russian'! Also links to page Describing mechanism in greater detail, though Illustration, if there was one, did not load. Roy Stewart, Phoenix AZ irjsiq@gmail.com
