Time for a "Triple Play"

General Time for a "Triple Play": Reduce Oil Prices and Dependence on Fossil Fuels, while Meeting the Growing Demand for Electric Power

1. The Cost of Oil

Oil prices are climbing towards $100/barrel. In two years there will be one billion automotive vehicles worldwide. If current trends continue, by 2030 world oil supply, projected to be 70 Million barrels per day, will fall far short of the estimated daily demand. The projected shortfall of 50 Million barrels of oil per day will drive fuel costs far beyond tenable levels. The world will see more wars, such as the one we are waging in Iraq, unless a path is opened that can dramatically reduce demand.

2. Fossil Fuels and Global Warming

James Hansen at NASA Goddard speaks for many scientists, stating that we must dramatically reduce the use of fossil fuels in less than a decade to avoid life threatening catastrophe. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, that shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore, concluded that drastic shifts are happening much more rapidly than earlier predicted. It seems that by 2050, one billion Asians will lack enough water and up to six hundred million people will suffer climate induced hunger. As the average global temperature increases, each 1 degree Celsius rise deprives between 400 million and 1.7 billion people of sufficient water.

Greenland now loses more ice each year than all the ice in the Alps. "…the process is running faster than the models," said Konrad Steffen, at the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Greenland expert who serves as a U.S. government advisor on abrupt climate change. "It is scary," said Steffen. Not only in Greenland, but in Antarctica and elsewhere there is massive melting of ice. More than 180 nations have coastal areas at risk. Two-thirds of them have over 5 million people under threat of serious flooding. Included are cities such as New York, London, Miami, Shanghai and Tokyo.

3. The World’s Huge Appetite for Energy

Energy consumption is at the core of human existence. It virtually controls what we eat, how we live, where we go, how we are entertained, our health, knowledge, defense and exploration. The world's demand for energy is surging.

The International Energy Outlook 2006, by the U.S. Department of Energy, forecasts electricity use will grow by an average of 2 percent per year worldwide and almost twice as rapidly in the developing world. Robust economic growth in many developing nations is expected to boost demand for electricity for air conditioning, cooking, space and water heating, and refrigeration. Global energy consumption is projected to increase by 71% from 2003 to 2030. We need to accelerate development of cost-effective, sustainable, alternatives.

The Triple Play

A revolutionary new technology, GENIE™ (Generating Electricity by Nondestructive Interference of Energy) is being developed at Magnetic Power, Inc. (MPI).

MPI has dedicated more than 20 years of research and development into exploring breakthrough technologies. To reverse the trends discussed above MPI envisions a technological revolution, developed commercially, that has limited impact on available planetary resources. GENIE is projected to be easy to manufacture and use, as well as inexpensive, thus capable of rapidly achieving global impact.

Based upon proprietary breakthrough discoveries in MPI's labs, GENIE generators are being designed operate continuously, without fuel, extracting electricity by converting an energy source that exists everywhere in the universe. This process create no pollution. The cost of electricity is estimated to be significantly less than any competing form of power generation, today or in the foreseeable future.

GENIE generators with no moving parts can be made in many of the world's electronics factories. Household units will produce power 24/7. Larger units will replace automobile engines. GENIE will eliminate any need for fuel to run a vehicle. It can also allow future cars to become income producing power plants when parked.

GENIE is a magnetic device. Nobel physicist Werner Heisenberg once stated: "We could utilize magnetism as an energy source". Hans Coler demonstrated a 6 Kilowatt, solid-state, magnetic "space energy receiver" in Germany during 1937. It was destroyed by an Allied bomb during WWII. The invention was confirmed by British Intelligence after the War. However, at the time, there was no comprehension as to the source of the energy. Coler wrote: "These fundamental researches…have made the first real and large breach in the citadel of present scientific belief."

Advanced GENIE prototypes are currently being constructed by MPI. Lee Felsenstein, EE, evaluated an early proof-of-concept prototype. He felt it to be analogous to the first examples of the transistor, which eventually led to a Nobel Prize and the creation of Silicon Valley (and similar high-tech complexes throughout the world).

A near-term MPI goal is a 1 kW self-sustaining generator perhaps 5"x5"x16" in size. In 2008, a plug-in hybrid car, with a pair of these 1,000 watt GENIE prototypes, is expected to demonstrate that a connection to the grid is not necessary in order to recharge the battery. That will herald the beginning of an end to the need for fuel.

The urgent need is for an emergency changeover, in less than a decade, from burning fuel, to widespread use of new sources of energy that eliminate the need for fossil fuels. The Triple Play made possible by GENIE makes that a practical goal. We applaud all efforts to replace oil and reduce greenhouse gases. However, nothing short of revolutionary new technology can act fast enough to save millions of lives.

Scientists may express skepticism, since the energy source is not yet widely understood. Acceptance will come when one sits on a desk in front of them and produces electricity. MPI is developing Demonstration Devices and toys. Young people with open minds will probably teach their parents how they function. This Triple Play can and will accelerate, as rapidly as the required funding will allow.

Be sacred - we are running out of fuel
Be happy - projections from MPI about limitless energy

Same crap yet again, Mark? More vague nonsence? Still developing, and still nothing developed? Haven't you been developing for 20 years now?
Seems to be a long time with nothing to show but projections, always advancing timelines, and a regular monthly dose of BS.

This is not news, it's the same tired fishing expedition. Save yourself some time Mark, since it'a always the same drivel in a slightly new wrapper I suggest you simply post "See last months article: Same Old Shyte".

I dont think VLAD will do anything about Gold or his buddy Bearden. We got into a heated argument about this, and I was accused of being mean, ignorant and insulting about my comments about these two so called inventors. Yet Vlad got on his high hores and pontificated to me to be civil when commenting on these two. My take is this; Vlad creates a sight, and then allows these two to continually make a mockery of why it was invented.
I hope alot more folks let VLAD know it's not his sight folks have a problem with, it's people like Mark that increasingly irk's everyone.

Mark's monthly bullshit sessions don't just waste the light of the flat screen diodes. They do what Mark intends them to do: throw out the baited hook hoping to catch a fish. Mark's intent is to part (foolish) people from their money.

The bait: “GENIE generators are being designed to operate continuously, without fuel.”…
The hook: “This Triple Play can and will accelerate, as rapidly as the required funding will allow.”

“As the required funding will allow”??? Isn’t that a perfect setup! Mark can continue to look for suckers while waiving his bait, and his never-ending excuse for producing nothing but hot air is that he has not yet found enough suckers.

Mark never says anything of substance, always the same tired routing: scare tactics, his 'solution' (read bullshit), vague deliverables, and a subtle plea for your money.
His routine is always carefully worded in the style of a polished conman.

Catch any fish this month, Mark?

I think this is the best part: “The cost of electricity is estimated to be significantly less than any competing form of power generation, today or in the foreseeable future.”

Let’s see, this imaginary device operates continually without fuel, yet the electricity it produces isn’t free, but costs less than other means…

Do the hamsters running on the wheel in this GENIE device cost that much to feed?

I wish Mark could just report his progress without always cloaking his reports with emotional appeals about the end of the world as we know it.  We all know the need for new energy.  Why can't he just get right to the point and stay with the point --- his companies contribution -- rather than preaching to the choir about how badly the world needs this stuff, and how much a difference this could make.  That he does so, to me, is the mark of a wizard of oz persona -- the smoke and mirrors to make things appear grander than they really are.

I don't see that he's claiming to be running O/U.

His wording is "...GENIE generators are being designed to operate continuously, without fuel..."

That could be on paper, or it could be via prototype.  His wording is vague, to give the impression of prototypes, which is probably still wishful thinking.

He's too much of a hype artist for me to take him very seriously without evidence to the contrary.

This document is intended to light up facts that are lost in technical reports.

First, that the price of oil will continue to rise and clearly a shortfall in oil supply, now predicted by some to begin in the next year or two, will cause the price to spike, resulting in severe economic problems and leading to more wars such as the disaster in Iraq. The price of oil will only fall sharply with a revolutionary breakthrough in renewable energy technology.

Secondly, it is still little understood, by most of the public, that unless such a breakthrough occurs in the not-to-distant future, millions of people are likely to die and many more to have their lives seriously disrupted. The window for a rapid reduction in the use of fossil fuels is now less than ten years. No existing technology is capable of so fast a change. Only a revolutionary system, such as GENIE, can do so.

Without exception, all of our work is based on prototypes. The report by Lee Felsenstein, a well known and respected EE in Silicon Valley, has been posted on our website for months. It is based on his second visit to our lab, where he had an opportunity to inspect an early GENIE prototype. The name GENIE, by the way, came into use some months after his article appeared.

There have been a number of GENIE prototypes constructed, as well as rotary prototypes that have repeatedly been Over Unity. Individuals who have a reason to do so and have signed NonDisclosure Agreements have visited the labs and had the opportunity to reach their own conclusions about our work.

Five multi-billion dollar firms have signed NDAs and are interested in GENIE for uses ranging from handheld electronics to multi-megawatt generators. Lab work indicates GENIE will be able to replace batteries of any size, thus making it practical for future cars to be electric and capable of selling power to local utilities, when parked. That last potential is addressed in an article that appeared both here and on our website. It appears possible that many future cars will pay for themselves, once such systems are optimized by utilities. And utilities are paying close attention to GENIE at this time.

Construction of fuel burning power plants of every variety is likely to have a difficult time competing with the modest cost of Genie generators, once they are in mass production.

Technical progress reports will be made public when it makes sense to do so. The debacle in London a few months ago by the firm based in Dublin was a lesson in how not to proceed. 1 kW GENIE generators are moving toward the market. And while some may find it hard to believe, they are likely to be in production by the end of next year.

From the NEC forum: Dear Sterling:

I maybe totally missing the point, but looking at the disclosed patent application of this author's website, I see a solid state device that inputs a rectangular electrical energy pulse, and outputs an energy pulse to a load. As with all such devices, it would be instructive to see laboratory evidence of the time-averaged input power to the device, and the time-averaged output power of the device, for comparison. It is a simple disclosure requiring little space, but would go a long way toward justifying over-unity claims.

As before, any over-unity device must be constructed with feedback to provide its input energy, and allow a demonstratable output power capable of doing some measurable work. Further, the device must not contain an internal power source, "a battery", which supplies this net output work from a chemical or nuclear potential. The device of the disclosed patent application does not have these internal power sources.

Perhaps, in the absence of public disclosure of the above laboratory evidence, the author can supply statements from credentialed individuals who have already agreed to nondisclosure standards that such laboratory evidence as specifically outlined above has been measured and observed.

Sincerely,

Robert Indech, PhD PE
-------------------------------

I always enjoy reading your posts Robert. I am continually frustrated by the hype and publicity that surrounds "free energy devices". I use scientific methodology in validating devices in my travels and to date I have never been able to confirm a free energy or overunity device.

I have seen Faraday's Law challenged but this is a far cry from overunity.

I have just returned from another OS trip where once again the results I saw on a device was inconclusive. Before I waste my time in the future I will be looking at data and testing methods. I hate being the bearer of bad news to many of these developers who have often put years into developing their technologies. The single biggest problem is they see what they want to see ignoring what the data is really telling them.

Without such Data being released I feel the Genie is another device that isnt worth even discussing.
...

Kind Regards

It may be helpful to clarify that Over Unity devices are not the same as self-powered units, although the latter must include the former.

Over Unity is simply more ouput than input when measured correctly with instruments that have the needed characteristics and accuracy. MPI has achieved Over Unity with the first prototype of the pending patent on the website and with four mechanical devices. We have not yet achieved the margins repeatedly that we feel would be convincing to an Independent Laboratory such as EarthTech. However, that goal appears to be achievable in the not-too-distant future. Incidently, EarthTech has never yet validated Over Unity in all the years they have been testing claims that it has been achieved.

Self-powered devices are the goal for GENIE generators and mechanical Demonstration Devices and toys. We see clear evidence from experiments with both solid-state and mechanical devices that this goal will be achived as well, but it will take a bit longer. A self-powered device is the only true test of a practical revolutionary technology and the achievement will be self-evident.

The goal of 1 kW GENIE generators in production by a Strategic Partner by the end of 2008 seems realistic based on laboratory progress to date. We will do our best to achieve it.

We have certaintly been overly optimistic in the past.

Incidenlty, the O'Reilly Energy Conference in San Francisco was cancelled by O'Reilly and our Proposal to present a generator was never approved.

In any event, the ultimate goal is to have GENIE generators in production. When they are in the market, disbelief will seem absurd.

But, know that we invite skepticism. Anyone who accepts this type of technology without solid proof, as I have said many times, does not have their head screwed on straight.

If the world is collapsed under the weight of water rushing off melting glaciers in 2050, I suspect the last thing we'll hear is that the GENIE device will be ready for production in 2051.

From my collection of MPI's best predictions:

January 2006
We have several OU devices, but production of a demo unit requires more working capital. If enough money comes in quickly, I believe we can meet the goal of having a pre-manufacturing prototype of a self-powered motor or generator by the end of June.

June 2006

Demonstration Devices are designed to begin to enter the market later this year. These will make it difficult for scientists and skeptics to maintain that such technology is impossible.

December 2006

MPI has applied to Present our technology at the O'Reilly Energy Conference in San Francisco which will run from August 22nd thru the 24th, 2007.

October 2007

1 kW GENIE generators are moving toward the market. And while some may find it hard to believe, they are likely to be in production by the end of next year.

Mach946, by proposing to pay me to do something YOU want, I see you’re forcing me to bring some of our private “heated” discussion into public debate. We both know who you‘re working for (curious if you would like to share that with our readers?). If you’re somebody in that company, you would certainly have access to many millions of $ to do whatever it takes to silence any inventor of such a revolutionary energy device that would tap the ZPE field for useful power, and change the world as we know it.

You don’t need to pay me to “tell Mark” to refrain from posting such “emotional appeals” without real progress reporting. I’ve told him (and many others) the dangers of doing that and the guaranteed bad reaction from the readers (believers and skeptics alike). Mark can confirm that for you (and the others like you) since you don’t seem to take my word for it.

“Pay VLAD” (me) for banning Mark (or anybody else) from posting on ZPEnergy their ideas, comments (pro or con), etc, in a civilized manner, did not work before and will NOT work in the future, as long as I own this site.

I adopted Edward De Bono’s principle that “argument is meant to reveal the truth, not to create it”. In other words, I and all the other honest people who want to know the truth about FE, gain NOTHING by not encouraging both sides to be open and post/debate any new (more or less) information on the topic.

I’m telling you what I told all others in the past who offered financial support to ZPEnergy with strings attached: the only reason I would accept money is find help to better run this site (see “Help Wanted” ad at the bottom of the main page) since all those who contacted me so far, backed off when told this is a free for all site and we’re all volunteers, working for a noble cause, not for money.

It may seem strange to a person like you but I value the truth about FE more than any amount of money you (or anybody else) may want to offer me to silence one side or the other. I give everybody the platform and the chance to talk to “the world” knowing that “the world” has the same platform and chance to respond accordingly. This way the newcomers have all the info in one place and can draw their own educated conclusion about the subject.

What and how a person speaks/writes tells us a lot about them. Consequently, I’ll always encourage people like Mark to post and respond whatever they feel important to say, and people like you (yes, even those heavily vested like you) to comment, as long as the dialog/debate is maintained rational and civilized, so the silent many out there can learn and make their own mind based on both sides of the strory.

Talk is cheap; we are all more interested in results - something of which he is not providing at all.

I am not trying to squelch his freedom of speech; I'm just trying to eliminate his redundant jargon. Is it too much to ask to maybe hlimit his posts of his unconvincing cries for angel investors to maybe only once a year? I mean, seriously, with all the free advertising that he's been posting to this site, he should be paying YOU for even listing such rubbish.

Of course, this argument would be entirely void if he actually had a working device and was showcasing it to the public (which is what he should have been doing all along) - but the path he has chosen, as you have clearly stated, is a doomed one.

OK Mach, I believe you ... You say: "The only thing IM " Heavily " vested in, is the hope that perhaps someday a vialbe working overunity device will enter into the market and usher in a new energy revolution for all humanity not just the rich." What exactly means for you "Heavily vested"?? ...what do you do to help your hope (and ours) come true sooner than too late??? ...except for bashing Mark Goldes and Bearden on this site?

This evening I enjoyed watching on TV an interesting movie titled "The story of Louis Pasteur". It just happened that the French academy called Pasteur "a fraud, plain and simple" (sounds familiar?). And that was after he already proved the germ theory of infectious diseases on Antrax and was working on the cure for rabies, which was taking longer than anticipated. The poor guy, working in his basement lab, ridiculed by most doctors of his time was trying to explain why he can't treat patients yet, not because he failed or he's wrong but because he needs more time given the adverse circumstances.

Anyway, I'm giving you this example not because I'm comparing Mark or Tom with Pasteur (even though, one day, they may very well be the "Pasteurs" of energy science, if they're right) but to highlight again to you and all the other patience-less people like you, that when dealing with ground braking research in a "virgin" territory of experimental science, swimming alone against the current of conventional science, time-lines for accomplishments are more "wishfull thinking" that realistic predictions.

Take hot fusion for example ... even though it is a legitimate research that benefited from $billions in public funding, it has wrongfully predicted an imminent breakthrough for the last 50 years! All these predictions are normally based on: 1) availability of adequate funding and 2) no surprises in the technological (engineering) scale-up process. Even when plenty of funding is available, there are usually technical problems to design a marketable prototype. In MPI's, MEG's etc. case, not only the funding is very difficult to obtain, but the lack of an adequate theory to explain the experimental phenomena contributes to the overall difficulty of the technical problem and consequently, to accurate production date forecasting.

Mark Goldes, Tom Bearden, Randy Mills and a few others are not in the same league as Denis Lee, Newman, Perendev, Tilley and many others who claim for years they have a ready to market product and stage public demos to raise money from gullible private citizens. Mark has always explained clearly that only accredited investors are welcomed to visit his labs, sign an NDA and see first hand the stage of the research ... and only then decide for themselves if it is worth investing or the risk is too great given the conventional science wisdom that tapping ZPE is impossible.

What are Mark's alternatives to awake curiosity in the "outside" world for MPI's work, when most of the conventional channels are closed for this kind of research news? NOTHING that Mark Goldes or Tom Bearden posted on this site is "crap". You may say it is not what we, those familiar with their work, would like it to be, or redundant, repeated information, not news-worthy, etc. but not "crap" dumped here like in a toilet. Freedom of posting here is the same for all ... if you don't value his posts go to the next ...or you come with something better, as I asked all of you here to help me help you to stay informed with the latest and the best news in our topic of choice (ZPE research).

And yes, I provide these people with a platform to get their ideas and struggle out, to the honest and smart people out there who will take the time to see what they have and eventually help them prove their claims. Unfortunately, most of the people do nothing, some only care to criticize (very few vomit that critic) and a tiny fraction, part of that small number of people who will change the world, do listen and take action supporting these pioneers to change the world as we know it.

Again, setting an optimistic time line is not crap, maybe wishful thinking. Not meeting them for objective reasons (promised funds have not materialized, technical difficulties in the scale-up process, death of key researcher, etc.) is unfortunate and it certainly attracts the critique/wrath of many (as yourself, me and many others). Be tough and let them (and the public) know your opinion and what you want/expect from them ... the only thing I ask from you and everybody else is to do it like you would speak in a public court, as civilized people you pretend to be.

Vlad; First off I have no problem with you at all, infact I truly do admire what you have done with regard to not only starting this site, but keeping it afloat for so many years given the limeted resoures and human power.

IM also for free speech, and this is an excellent site to bring forth ideas, and presenting progress on devices that would never see the light of day on a commercial television or radio.
Yoyu ask what I do. I converse with engineers at my place of work, and I have enlightned them to matters that we where never allowed to discuss or talk about in physics and our electrical courses. I have been wanting to direct them to your site to see just how big and exciting the energy field is ouside of what they know. Yet I know in the beginning, the first thing they will lock on to is inventors like Mark Gold and Bearden who habitually use this site to espouse doomsday scenarios and never ending timframes that always get pushed back. In our world where I work, if we pulled the stuff that these two men do on a regular basis, we would get  fired..PRONTO!
So what do I do instead, I come on line and read your site, and email my comrades the information that is not full of fluff; doomsday, never ending timeframes etc. BTY. I along with my collegues have been looking into what Blacklight power has done, and thats as far as I can go on that. Dr Randall Mills is a credible scientist, and he does not use this site in the ugly manner that the two other gentlemen do. You truly have a great site, and if you can tell from me and the others who voice concern about how it is being trivialized by a small few, it's not that we are against free speech. It's about holding people accountable for what they speak on. As an engineer, IM all too familair with pushed back deadlines, and so forth. It's when one continues to do it, that ones motives and expertise are called into question.
Here is a humble sugestion to you. If you have warned a person about continuously stating that their device is about to be put into production and they habitually come up short. Why not inform them that you will not allow anymore time lines to be placed on this site, until they have some real concrete evidence to show. This way the the nonsense comes to an end and we can all enjoy and appreciate what this site has meant to us all.
If anyone has any ideas IM all for it.

Best wished VLAD

I think you'll find we are all very open minded. So open minded that we can see what Mark Goldes is up to but not so closed minded as to continue to blindly believe in his never ending never fuelfilled ;-) promises.  Nobody here shot him down in flames from day 1 however after several postings from him we have all collectively come to the conclusion he is a con.

I'm sure you will also find that we all agree with Vlad's opinions about free speech etc. Where we differ is that we believe he is allowing this site to be used by a con artist which is VERY damaging to the open minded concept of alternative energy production.  It is hard enough convincing the establishment to open its mind to the possibility but it will be nigh on impossible if they smell a con.
