Does anyone have any news about the investigation into GWE?
I hope GWE is telling the truth. But as of right now by showing NO evidence the skeptics have EVERY right to peacefully, legally, and lawfully criticise them.
Am I sawing GWE is lying? No way! We don't know. I hope they are telling the truth!

Now if there are already people being employed they have to work somewhere so what does the GWE "factory" look like ? If they are only just starting to employ people then they will have to do an awful lot of training (even simple safety awareness courses) before the end of the year which is very aggressive and so it has to be happening now and therefore....there has to be a "factory" where people work.
Is there anyone in Boise who can tell us if the GWE factory looks like a genuine business. Is there anybody near Boise who's willing to apply for a job just to get an interview and get some more info.

I checked out Lowes and they didn't have any Edisons in white or off-white. So I'll suppose I'll have to wait. But since GWE's been making them for 9 months now and selling them for 2, somebody must have bought one by now. Hey folks, what color did you get? How's it holding up?

Wow. I was wrong all along. (Score: 1) by chipotle_pickle on Friday, May 14, 2004 @ 13:01:04 UTC (User Info | Send a Message) http://freehydrogen.blogspot.com | It's been a tough couple of months since the GWE devices hit the market, and I've had to admit that I was wrong about them all along. The worst part was this weekend, when I wanted to relax listening to Car Talk on NPR, all they would talk about is the HICEF powered cars, and how they are transforming the economy. I just couldn't listen to them, but I decided to go take a look at the HICEF powered Volvos (Volvo passenger cars is owned by Ford). Even the radio station I switched to from NPR was playing an add for the HICEF cars. I tried to turn on my iPod, but the power was down, since I have an old one that was made before Apple started using GWE 20 year batteries that never need recharging. I was really bummed. Finally, the Volvo dealer didn't have any HICEF cars that were not pink. I'm not going to drive a pink Volvo, so I gave up on that.
Still, I am getting the benefit of the cars being on the market. The HICEF cars have led to a huge drop in demand for gasoline, AAA is reporting gas prices hitting record lows:
http://www.infozine.com/news/stories/op/storiesView/sid/2286/
The whole economy is rebounding. Paul Krugman over at the NYT speculates that the falling energy prices could lead to a period of sustained economic growth without inflation:
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/05/14/opinion/14KRUG.html
With oil prices dropping, oil use trailing off, and Edison component exports worth billions a day, the USA balance of payments is improving:
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/05/13/business/worldbusiness/13econ.html
I ought to be enjoying all this, but I'm not, since I am so busy eating my hat.
I tried to buy an Edison at Lowes, but they don't make them in colors I like. But with all the other people who are buying them, the price of gas and electric is just falling through the floor. Nowhere is this felt more in Boise, where natural gas prices are falling so fast, it was just on Channel 2: http://tinyurl.com/34hhk
With all the money GWE's been making, they have just done so much good. We all remember their announcement of the award of the Angel scholarships:
http://www.zpenergy.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=664
and also their research grants. They paid their back taxes in Delaware and Nevada (WEM's in Nevada, and you can check their status there for free). They settled their old bills. They paid a dividend to their investors. So many people have been helped.

ALTERNATE ENERGY CORP CONSORTIUM TO PRODUCE AFFORDABLE VEHICLE THAT OPERATES WITHOUT FOSSIL FUEL
LAS VEGAS - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Tuesday, June 8th, 2004 (OTCBB: ARGY - News)
Alternate Energy Corporation (“AEC”) announced today that they, together with Feel Good Cars Inc. (FGC) and others, intend to produce a prototype hydrogen powered internal combustion engine electric vehicle. Alternate Energy will retrofit a FGC’s ZENN™ (Zero Emissions No Noise) Urban Low Speed Electric Vehicle. The Company believes the resultant vehicle will demonstrate that a hydrogen powered car can be produced at a price affordable to middle income households.
Feel Good Cars intends to provide the platform and technical know-how relative to their Zenn™ electric technology. Alternate Energy intends to provide its proprietary, on board, hydrogen generator unit to produce on demand hydrogen that will power the car’s hybrid drive system. Alternate Energy anticipates that the project can provide an alternative to large electric vehicle battery systems and thereby eliminate the need to recharge via electricity produced from the burning of fossil fuels.
The objective is to demonstrate that the Feel Good Cars’ urban electric hybrid-drive low speed vehicle, powered by Alternate Energy’s on board proprietary hydrogen production system, can prove to be a viable alternative to the zero emission standards solution. The resulting system should enable FGC to produce affordable, non-polluting, mass market vehicles that do not require gasoline, natural gas, or other fossil fuels. The automobile can, in effect, produce power from water by virtue of Alternate Energy’s technology.
The working prototype intends to have Alternate Energy’s hydrogen system generate, on board hydrogen, that can power a small non polluting Internal Combustion Engine (“ICE”). This ICE can drive a newly developed alternator that can produce electricity to power the electric motor of the vehicle. In addition, the new alternator can be used to recharge the batteries that are simultaneously being used to power the electric propulsion motor of the vehicle. Anticipated key benefits of this system are low cost, no hazardous emissions, increased range and elimination of downtime attributed to recharging. Alternate Energy believes that the initial sales price of the vehicle should not be overburdened by the use of the new technology and that the operating fuel cost should be less than the existing cost of gasoline.
“With the exception of our hydrogen generation system, all of the technology involved in making this automobile a reality is already proven. As we know from our research and development findings, our on board hydrogen generation system can economically produce the required hydrogen. As well, by producing electricity while underway, the range of the vehicle can be greatly enhanced which overcomes the limited range problem associated with existing electric vehicles. That, coupled with an affordable, non-polluting, electrically powered automobile, can assist in reducing automobile emissions. It is the Company’s intention to have a demonstration vehicle this year.” said Blaine Froats, Chairman of Alternate Energy.
Alternate Energy’s development of this electrically powered vehicle is made possible by its recent acquisition of the rights to use the formulation in conjunction with a hydrogen powered ICE.
According to Wired Magazine (May 2004 issue), hybrid car sales are estimated to cross the 2% of all U.S. car sales threshold in 2008, with most domestic and foreign automotive manufacturers working on plans to launch their own hybrid models within a few years.
Pictures of the demonstration vehicle will be available at Alternate Energy’s corporate website, www.cleanwatts.com.
