It was created by and mainly benefits the rulers of small impoverished third world nations that have no possibility of economic development. In return for their promise not to admit GHGs we will give them all kinds our money with no stipulations on what they do with it. More than likely that money will be spent on homes in Palm Springs and on the roulette tables of Las Vegas. On the other side, whatever spin can be put on the geoscience data, one thing is certain, its going to get warmer, and the climate will become more chaotic. GHGs, along with deforestation are causing the bulk of the problem. Denial is merely a choice between being in the Oil and Coal lobby's pocket and being just plain misinformed. Lets not perform a vast uncontrolled experiment on the atmosphere. Yes, think about a world w/ no electricity, phones, cultivated crops, new medicines, innovations, fast transportation. Imagine a vast desert that used to be the Midwest of America. Throw social instability on top of all that mess and the picture of the future is not a bright one if we continue to emit GHGs. The solution is first, not to engage in propaganda and politics to obscure the problem. Panic is not another. The US can and will solve the problem by staying open to all possibilities, and using the forces of free markets and open expression to set a new paradigm into motion. Retrace the path that Henry Ford took 100 years ago that got us into our present situation, and see that it is the only method that is effective for change.
