No Comments Allowed for Anonymous, please register Re: Re: We're doomed (Score: 1) by Kadamose on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 @ 05:45:20 UTC (User Info | Send a Message) Actually, we have a pretty good idea when the next pole shift is going to occur because the magnetic field around the earth is failing right NOW.  Not only is the magnetic field around the earth failing, but the sun's magnetic field is beginning to change polarity, as well.  It is predicted the sun's poles will shift first, and then the earth's magnetic field will finally reach 'zero point' and shift, as well.  The current date for this to occur is Dec 21st, 2012. As for being more nihilistic, I have lost almost all of my faith in humanity.  Instead of becoming more aware of the damage we are all doing to the planet, most people continue to live in ignorance and look the other way, hoping that the next generation will solve all our problems.  Unfortunately, it also appears that the idea of evolution is wrong, too, because the human population appears to be becoming extremely dumbed down and is regressing.  So much for the next generation solving all our problems, eh?  On another note, it's quite sickening how very few people truly understand the new technologies coming out - and it is this lack of intellect, on a collective scale, which will be our ultimate downfall.  What's the point of having advanced technology if you don't understand it, nor know how to use it wisely? By the way, the culling of the human population has been on the agenda for a LONG time and is not a new concept.  In fact, the blueprint has been laid out in the open for over 30 years on public display - I am refering to the Georgia Guidestones which read: 1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature. 2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity. 3. Unite humanity with a living new language. 4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason. 5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts. 6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court. 7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials. 8. Balance personal rights with social duties. 9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite. 10.Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.
