I am told you are an educated man. That you are a numbers cruncher, mathematician, statistician or the like. You have to know that interest is the cost of money, not a cost of goods. Money has little value today in a standard savings account, more in a T-bill up through various stock forms and to credit card debt for 18 or 20%, so you intentionally mislead the reader into thinking GWE has mislead the public by using a nebulous $15 dollar cost of operation. Filters they say last a very long time if your water is good and you don't draw off the super clear water available at 20 gallons per day. YOU know the REAL answer to your questions. You have not mentioned house bill 107 that will allow a @$2000 tax credit for alternative enregy device purchase. You haven't shown the simple formula to amortize the cost of a $3500 purchase thru saving on the cost of electricity and gas or that it cost $200 a month for AC for a modest home this summer in Boise. Please use your education to help us with the facts and their interpretation rather than your demeaning assumption that we are not smart enough to see through your agenda or personality flaw or lack of faith or whatever it is that allows you to sink into such a debilitating abyss of pessimism? Call me, I would love to buy you a cup of coffee and cheer you up or just give you a hug.

The Math... :roll eyes:

Cost for device: $3000
Life of device: 20 years

Cost per year: $3000 / 20 = $150
Cost per month: $150 / 12 = $12.50

Stated cost per month: $15.00

Difference: $15 - $12.50 = $2.50

Difference per year: $2.50 * 12 = $30

I must assume the filter cost per year would be that $30 difference.

Not hard to imagine...

Try reading what Anthony and GWE actually wrote more carefully. Maybe you can get away with lying to people that haven't read what was actually written, but you are not getting away with it with me anymore. I've come to the conslucion that nothing from you can be trusted as being right.
