Let's put an end to this issue. Don't over think it, remember the source. Look, this calcualtion is simple and can be calculated 2 ways (which end up being the same anyway). DaveGee and MLMITTON both have it right. The .019 cost per kilowatt and therm is probably the more percise approach as it includes price amortization and the cost of the filter but dividing the purchase price by 240 months with the residual $2.5 assumed to be the cost of the filter appears reasonable as well. The purchase price method works because the price is based on the kilowatt and therms usage which is also the basis of the .019. Besides, the only monthly cost involved is the monthly amortization of the system and filters. The financing charges would be neglible since it's only 3,000 and most likely be only for 3 to 5 years not over the 20 year life.

So, does anyone know if GWE applied for job creation credits in Idaho? States throw a plethora of credits and subsidies at companies for increasing employment. I think 4500 jobs in Boise would be quite significant and highly publisied by the local politicians. Anyone get those dividends that "Anthony" said were coming very soon??
