PUTTING MAGNET POWER TO WORK - If a company called Perendev Power Developments Ltd. achieves its goals, consumers will be able to buy a magnetic motor that can generate electricity without using fossil fuels, an electromagnetic vehicle that has an unlimited driving range and no fuel costs, or a personal, electromagnetically powered air craft.
These three products will all run on electricity derived from magnets. The company, with bases in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S., has apparently designed a magnetic motor that uses rare earth magnets to drive a three-rotor system that produces 9 kilowatts. When coupled to an alternator the company claims that it can generate "220 volts or 380 volts, in single or 3 phase." The electric vehicle will be constructed with an anodized aluminum chassis and composite body, and the aircraft, dubbed the "Spirit of Freedom," will have unlimited range and no engine noise.
