One implication: the backwards time telegraph (BTT) is a more rational goal to keep in mind, at least for now, than time travel as such.
With regards to Kaku's statement... teleportation as most people understand the word has NOT been achieved for subatomic particles. And there is no basis in empirical physics at present for thinking it is possible for them, let alone for us. "Quantum teleportation" is a somewhat confusing piece of technical jargon which means something quite different.
The door is wide open to all kinds of wild possibilities, but only if we are open to the hard work of step by step progress. If we get stuck in the mud OR lost in the clouds, either way we will get nowhere. But there is a possibility to get somewhere.
Best of luck to us all,
Paul
